NATURE, TRADITIONS AND CULTURES

If you are visiting our accommodation in the heart of the Camargue in July, don't miss the first Sunday in July, the "Fête du Costume" created more than a century ago under the impetus of the writer Frederic Mistral. This festival pays tribute to the Arles women who parade through the streets of Arles in traditional costume to the ancient theater. There, to celebrate the "Queen of Arles" and her Bridesmaids, festivities with accents of Provencal and bullfighting traditions follow one another: Camargue races, games of guardians, folk dances...
 
Earlier in the year, you may also be able to attend the Fête des Gardians, during which the gardians parade on horseback through the city to the Église la Major. Arles and the Camargue are truly steeped in tradition!
